Thanks for the link to v10.29.0.6590, I wonder where the 6590 originated from. Also is the SST driver standalone or how did it get installed on the system originally? Is it part of Intel UHD Graphics? I tried extracting just the folder IntelHDASST but Windows 11 is saying I already have the best drivers available as it does not contain the Audio Controller. This is where 6590 can also be found but does not install either as it does not contain the Audio Controller part of the drivers:

So now, 6367 is the latest drivers available with the Audio Controller device which still would not install if you just browse the folder but it needs to be manually selected with Update Driver, Browse my computer for drivers, Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.

It didn't work.
My original drivers were:
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller is v10.23.0.2427
and
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED is v10.23.3349.219

If I changed it to:
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller is v10.29.0.6367
and
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED is v10.29.0.6367

Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED would have a problem with:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Configuration mismatch (production/engineering).

If I changed it to:
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller is v10.29.0.6367
and
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED is v10.23.3349.219

Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED would have a problem with:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Configuration mismatch (production/engineering).

It would only work correctly with:
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller is v10.23.0.2427
and
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED is v10.23.3349.219

The v10.29.0.6367 are Lenovo branded and I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 and Dell does not provide any Intel Smart Sound Technology drivers.

Drivers 6590 works like a charm, I don't know why it wouldn't work on your DELL 9570 machine.

I have installed the Intel SST drivers manually because there is no installer in the

.\IntelHDASST\

folder.

Take a look here www.drivereasy.com/help55/manually-insta...ivers-in-windows-10/ to find out how to do this (part 1, steps 1 to 9).

Code 10 seems there is no Audio driver installed before Intel SST.

I always have proceeded as follows:
1. Realtek High Definition audio ;
2. Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) ;
3. Nahimic A-Volute.

Intel SST is not a part of Intel UHD Graphics drivers, these are two separate driver sets.

Already tried what you mentioned. Remember you are installing the 590 as part of the Realtek drivers while I am trying to keep the existing version of the Realtek UAD drivers as that version sonically sounds better than the newer versions. My Realtek UAD is installed before the SST, the issue is the OED bus driver which is a version mismatch as the SST is 2 drivers and not one. The Audio Controller does not have a problem but until the OED doesn't complain, it's not working since the OED is the one that controls whether there is audio input on the mic or not.

I think, the second digit of the version number represents a different chipset and can't be mixed. You can only try 10.23.xx.xx
